how to use our terrain stl files

  • 1. purchase & download

    Browse our collection and select the designs you want. Once you purchase, you can download the terrain STL files directly.

  • 2. prep for printing

    Load the files into your 3D printer’s slicer software. Make sure your printer is properly calibrated, then send your sliced STL file to your printer (as G-Code).

  • 3. print & enjoy

    Print the pieces at home, then finish them as you like. Sanding, priming, and painting are all part of the fun, and they’ll help you match your terrain to your table theme perfectly.

what materials do i need for 3d printing?

You’ll need a reliable 3D printer and filament such as PLA or ABS. If you’re looking to print smaller or more detailed pieces, a resin printer is an excellent choice.PLA+ is recommended by many people who print their own terrain.

how do i get the best results with my prints?

Use a dependable printer and high-quality filament. Proper calibration and attention to detail will help you achieve those killer results you’re after. One of the most important factors is first layer adhesion - make sure your bed is clean. You can use isopropyl alcohol and a clean cloth to wipe the print bed clean of grease and dust before printing. It’s also recommended to keep your filament spools in a dry bag so moisture doesn't get into the filament and affect your print.

can i request custom terrain designs?

While we don’t offer custom designs, Brutal Cities is all about community input. Sign up to join the community and the conversation. New collections will priortise the designs that the community is buzzing about. The first STL releases were based on your input to our epic scale terrain survey!
