Things you'll need:
- Artists oil paints - any brand should do
- Odourless solvent or artists white spirit (Don't use white spirit from hardware stores, it's not refined enough)
- Gloss varnish - you can airbrush this on or use a rattle can. I used a rustoleum gloss varnish
- Satin varnish (this is a personal preference thing, I wanted the objective to retain some sheen)
If you want to take your weathering even further then we've got a bunch of Ammo Paints weathering products to make it even simpler.
